The barrel of the cannon can be tilted over 45 degrees when the legs are spread
out
as seen in this picture. The Cannon can also be towed by a lawn
tractor by
bolting the legs together and putting a
bolt through the legs and pinning
the bolt through your lawn tractor towing
hitch.
Loading the Cannon is very easily done. Pull the firing pin back to the
second hole
in the firing pin, put in the firing pin landyard (this also
protects the firing pin
from damage), un-lock the locking handle counter
clockwise (silver handle),
swing the breech open by holding the yellow handle
and swinging
the breech open, insert your 12 gage black powder shell,
reclose the breech,
lock it down
by locking the locking
handle clockwise and your done.
Firing the Cannon is also extremely easy. All you need to do is stand
to its side
as far away as the landyard will allow, give it a good pull and
watch the
fun happen and experience the power of the cannon. You and
everyone else around you will experience a shock wave.
It will totally
amaze you, your
friends and neighbors.

The sound from the video camera wasn't very good though.
Believe me, the cannon is a whole lot louder in person:))
A Very Good Gunpowder Joke
A tough old cowboy advised his grandson to sprinkle a bit
of gunpowder in his oatmeal each morning
for good health and old age. His grandson did so.
When he died at the age of 103, he left 13 children, 12 great grandchildren,
and a 15 foot hole where the Crematorium used to
be at!
My Cannons are made out of;
Round Cold-Rolled Steel
Square Cold-Rolled Steel
Flat Cold-Rolled Steel
Brass
12 Gauge Parts
10 & 8 Gauge Parts
8 Gauge Receiver Being Cut
8 Gauge Receiver Shown Cut
All Cannon Gauges From The Left = 12 Gauge = 10 Gauge
= 8 Gauge
The Firing Pin Retainer Plate is made of Cold Rolled Steel Steel in these
pictures.
This Cannon is also designed and manufactured as
a Breech-Loading Cannon.
This is not
a retro-fit version and definitely NOT a toy.
This is a Modern Artillery-Styled Cannon.
Its overall;
Weight for the 12 Gauge Model is around 60 pounds.
For the 10 Gauge Model, about 80 pounds.
For the 8 Gauge Model, about 100 pounds.
Width is approximately 24 to 36 inches wide.
Its overall total length
is approximately 32 to 48 inches long.
Its overall total
barrel/breech/receiver length with the firing
pin exposed
to its firing position is
approximately 27 to 32 inches long.
For all current models, I now use Wooden Steel-Rimmed Wagon Wheels.
On some larger models, I use Cannon Carriage Wheels.
12 Gauge Models have 16 inch Wheels.
10 Gauge Models have 20 inch Wheels.
8 Gauge Models have 24 inch Wheels.
For all Cannons, the wheel hubs and spindles are custom made.
For the 12 Gauge Models, I make 7/8 inch axel spindles.
For the 10 Gauge Models, I make 1 inch axel spindles.
For the 8 Gauge Models, I make 1 1/8 inch axel spindles.
For larger Cannons, the size of the Cannon determines how
large the Wheels are and Spindle Sizes
For the 12 Gauge Model, I use Winchester 2 3/4 inch, Black Powder, 6 Dram, Blank Shells.
These shells are more louder than you might think. Shooting off a 12 gauge
shotgun is
like comparing apples with oranges. There is NO comparison between the
two.
This 12 gauge cannon can be heard about a mile away using these shells.
And, you should wear hearing protection while you fire it off.
If you want to have something special that everyone
else does not have,
these cannons will fill that bill perfectly for you.

The Cannon will come to you in 3 to 4 crates you will
need to assemble. It's not hard to do.
I will try to deliver it myself if the distance isn't too great.
Your Cannon is not shipped operational because
of federal Law. Your Firing Pin Assembly
come with your cannon in a separate box which you need to put into
its receiver. Its very easy to do and only requires 4 allen head bolts
which are also supplied. General Use and Care Rules:
Black Powder in general is a dirty form of explosive. Every so often, take
a piece of
cloth, soak it with Kerosene (some advise using soap and water first), swab the
barrel
real good and you should have no trouble whatsoever with pitting.
Every so
often, disassemble the axel spindles
and give it a good greasing.
There are Brass Washers that is used with the locking arm that locks the breech
and
pivot bolt. Every so often, check those washers for wear. The
washers act
like shock absorbers
and saves the
locking/pivot shafts internal threads
from breakage and warpage.
If you keep your Cannon clean, in proper operation and don't try to shoot things
out
of it that it's not designed to shoot, your Cannon will last you for many years.
